Wow! Please ignore these ridiculously "purist" and short-sited requests to keep Toy Camera as a "camera" and not have the ability to post process. The inability to post process is a serious drawback to using the app and I think the filters (yes they are filters folks!) that are applied are some of the best out there and I would like to use the app more.

But I can't tell my subjects, "Hey wait, I've got to take that great shot again 7 more times because the app I'm using requires shooting 7 images" I may be able to tell that to a (dead) person, but not to a duck that just landed on the water or a plane that just passed directly overhead or a musician that would have me arrested if I got close enough for them to hear me, etc. I think you get the idea.

Taking a photo should be effortless and having to fuss with one's equipment is needless, especially when we are talking about software. At the very least, let us save an original image and let us process from the album.

First of all, thank you for making this app! It's become a favorite on my home screen. The effects make an ordinary picture amazing and nostalgic.

I wonder if in the future it would be possible to add these effects to video since the release of video in the iPhone 3Gs. Kind of like the Digital Harinezumi. Just throwing the idea out there.

As far as right now I've got no complaints with the app. It does exactly what it says and I've shot so many pics with it already. Thank you!

I love the app & I agree that it should not be a filter. There are already plenty of filter apps out there. And I don't think the black & white should be separate.

What's the matter with all these whiners? If you don't like the ToyCamera results, you can either cycle through the random settings till you get one you do like or tweak the results in another app that's soley for photo editing--there's plenty of them out there.

The "keep the original" request is pointless to me.

All the purpose of Toy Camera is to... emulate a toy camera. Clic-it's done, without any Command-Z. Keeping the original file would signify : to double the time process, double the memory occupation (or more, with the new 3 megapixels format), and divide by twice the interest of the app.

And above all, it would change the whole philosophy of Toy Camera, turning it to a vulgar filter applier. It would be easier, then, to take your photo with the built-in app, then process your pict with photoshop, with all the comfort of a real computer.
