OS3.0 support for my Apps

QuadCameraNow QuadCamera for OS3.0 is back :-)
Not working in this moment, working version is aloready sent to apple more than month ago. However, there is no feedback yet from them.
SepiaCamera – No problem..
ToyCamera – No problem.
OldCamera – No problem.

I feel really really sorry to you guys who use my apps. I have already sent OS3.0 working version of QuadCamera more than month ago. However apple’s black-holl review never replys any feedback even rejection.

Now I’m hardly trying to contact to Apple. However what I can do is almost done, and what they do will decide QuadCamera’s future. Very sorry about your inconvenience.

Not only my QuadCam but also many famous camera app like SteadyCam has been in same situation. They supported iPhone OS3.0 but apple not got approved it.

I never give up to my app got approved. If you are happy to be wait, please wait a while, or contact to apple to complain situtation, e.g. developer already sent new version long time ago but not got it approvet etc. It may changes situation.

Now I’m doing user support to almost 70000 users without any help. I reads all mails, comments send to me, however reply will be late or bcc mail. To find my recent status, please check my twitter account. Most of my times are just spent for user support.

Again sory about your inconvenience, but I promiss I will do do what I can do as much as possible.

Crazy situation is that, until iPhone OS3.0 release, I can not write about it on iTunes store, because iPhone OS3.0 is part of NDA. Writing about it on the iTunes store might cause of rejecting my update of QuadCam for OS3.0.

As same reason, I can not remove it from store, because once I close, update can not be provided anymore. :-(

    Hi

Im very active Quadcamera user so it was shock to notize Os 3.0 does not let it work. After that I notized many of the games and programs I have bought have problems with Os 3.0. I couldn’t expect that and I haven’t seen even information or notizements about possible incompatibilities from Apple or users. I have to try to get back Os 2.2 until Apple publishes new versions of softwares or anykind of fixing solution. I really hope that Apple would answer soon. This all reminds me the time when people ghanged their XP to Vista:) Not funny anyway.

For all you QuadCamera users out there, send an email to Apple asking them to approve the latest update! The more pressure that is brought to bear, the faster it should get listed on the app store.

    Thanks!
How did you grab the camera image? I’ve recognized, that when i grab the Picture in PLCameraView it’s always black (empty)?

Fukatsu-san, please don’t worry about it. I’ve been enjoying ToyCamera.app for awhile. I spent the same amount on Quad & Toy that I spend at Starbucks. The least I can do is buy you a coffee.

I think the other users feel the same.

  12. Leo M says:

Another thing you SHOULD DO is to hit Apple’s feedback page:

    http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

It worked for Eucalyptus, it should work for QuadCamera….

  13. iampixels says:

Hang in there dude & dun stop producing other such wonderful app!!!

    -whilewaiting.

  14. Fahm says:

to bad we cannot use quadcam on 3.0 yet….now almost half of my fave apps doesn’t working, because apple didn’t approved it yet…

  15. Alex says:

Great app i’m waiting for apple news about qcamera.
Thanks for your explanation about the update delay.

  16. Bernd says:

aaaaah. waiiiting … what’s the email at apple to send requests to?

  17. Leo M says:

Apple does a good job of hiding the iTunes Store contact info, but the web address is HERE:

    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/

I recommend everyone ‘contact’ Apple and ask them what the deal is.

I’ve posted on another page but just noticed this – it seems to not work with the 3G either. Who gets the money too? Seems a lot of people pay, find out it doesn’t work and lose their money – if you post the apple address I too will push for this to be fixed

  19. Leo M says:

Don’t wanna spam, but I *did* get an email back from iTunes Store Support: Quote:

    **

“Thank you for your interest in the App Store regarding the status of the app “QuadCamera”. My name is John and I am glad to help.

The iTunes and App Store Customer Support teams answer non-technical questions about billing issues, customer accounts, and content downloads. Please contact Developer Relations at devprograms@apple.com about this matter.”

At this point I recommend that everyone interested in getting a new QuadCamera version in the AppStore do the following:

1/ *Politely* email this address. After all, an Apple employee recommended it.

2/ Send ‘news tips’ to tuaw.com, valleywag or any other ‘tech news’ website to get coverage on this. If enough folks mail in, maybe Apple will do something to make this ‘non newsworthy’.. like actually either accept or reject the app.

Letting the developer & users just ‘hang in the wind’ like this is not acceptable.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case. Have you tried the ipad? you can get one free at FreshGiftCard.com
