Finally QuadCamera for OS3.0 is back!!!

Today I received notification that says QuadCam 1.95 is out!
As soon as AppStore’s server data is updated, it will be downloadable, I think within 24 hours.

Thanks for all users who help me and waiting so long time.

Language issue of Application

Monday, July 27th, 2009

Some people say that when they use ToyCamera / OldCamera their navigation is Japanese. I reserched the issue and find the problem. It will potentially happen with NON-English users.

It is language priority issue of iPhone. In your iPhone, if Japanese is treated as higher priority than English, it displays Japanese.

To solve problem,

1: Opne iPhone’s setting panel.
2: Find the language setting / its in the General setting.
3: Check language order, I think Japanese must be placed above the English.
4: Select English as your first language.
5: After select your mother language as your first language.
6: Now English has higher priority than Japanse.

It should be work like a charm :-)

Removing QuadCamera from app store

Friday, July 24th, 2009

Now QuadCamera for OS3.0 is back :-)

As you know, QuadCam is now in serious situation. :-(

Therefore, tody I temporaly removed QuadCam from the app store. Not Apple did, but I did by myself.

Because even I wrote CAUTION on the top of the store description, some people still buying it without understanding the situation :-( It is not happy thing both for me and them.

I just change the release date setting to the future date, so whenever QuadCam for OS3.0 is got approved, it can be back to the store quickly. For users who bought QuadCam, as soon as it come back, update is automaticlly notified via your iPhones AppStore app, and update is always for free.

OS3.0 support for my Apps

Thursday, June 18th, 2009

QuadCameraNow QuadCamera for OS3.0 is back :-)
Not working in this moment, working version is aloready sent to apple more than month ago. However, there is no feedback yet from them.
SepiaCamera – No problem..
ToyCamera – No problem.
OldCamera – No problem.

I feel really really sorry to you guys who use my apps. I have already sent OS3.0 working version of QuadCamera more than month ago. However apple’s black-holl review never replys any feedback even rejection.

Now I’m hardly trying to contact to Apple. However what I can do is almost done, and what they do will decide QuadCamera’s future. Very sorry about your inconvenience.

Not only my QuadCam but also many famous camera app like SteadyCam has been in same situation. They supported iPhone OS3.0 but apple not got approved it.

I never give up to my app got approved. If you are happy to be wait, please wait a while, or contact to apple to complain situtation, e.g. developer already sent new version long time ago but not got it approvet etc. It may changes situation.

Now I’m doing user support to almost 70000 users without any help. I reads all mails, comments send to me, however reply will be late or bcc mail. To find my recent status, please check my twitter account. Most of my times are just spent for user support.

Again sory about your inconvenience, but I promiss I will do do what I can do as much as possible.

Crazy situation is that, until iPhone OS3.0 release, I can not write about it on iTunes store, because iPhone OS3.0 is part of NDA. Writing about it on the iTunes store might cause of rejecting my update of QuadCam for OS3.0.

As same reason, I can not remove it from store, because once I close, update can not be provided anymore. :-(

Still QuadCamera 1.95 has been getting rejected

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

Now QuadCamera for OS3.0 is back :-)

I read this Macworld’s article.
As an article described, now QuadCamera has been getting rejected almost 2month.

Good news is I’m still keep on trying to update QuadCamera. Bad news is I don’t know when Apple will approve my app to the store.

I dont want to throw my project into bin, because more than 60000 user downloaded QuadCam and, some of them are really looking for 3.0 support. I dont wont to make such a number of people dipress. However if I cant release QuadCam1.95 before iPhone OS3.0, it will be removed from the app store and people never play with QuadCam anymore. :-(

Also until it is out, I cant really focus on to next project. Is very frustrating.
